How my journey began

I am Emily Winesberry and I am a Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist licensed in California and Kansas. I came to clinical psychology after completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting and a Bachelor of Science in Women’s Studies.  I wanted to help people and thought going into Psychology with an emphasis in Expressive Arts Therapy would be a good bridge between two of my passions: social justice and the healing power of art.

With a previous educational training in social justice and examination of systemic oppressions I bring a strong focus on the ways in which intersections of oppression affect clients and their therapeutic process.  I completed a Masters of Arts in Clinical Psychology degree at California Institute of Integral Studies within the lens of Expressive Arts Therapy.

Motivation comes from within — and I’m here to help you activate it.
